The first step is admitting you have a problem...

I'm addicted to Craig's List.  I've been checking it everyday, sometimes more than once.  I think I may need to get help!

I am looking for a wood framed settee for the covered patio makeover.  I want to paint the wood and recover the cushions in Sunbrella fabric.  I like the idea of putting non-patio furniture on a covered patio.

So, here's what I found this morning...

I talked her down to $65.  Do you think it was a good deal?  Be honest!

She listed it as an "antique" so I'm going to have to check that puppy out when I bring it home. I may not be painting the wood or putting it on the patio if it's worth something!

And now, just for some Tuesday laughs, here's some funny Craig's List ads!
Did they think that would get better offers?

I have no words for this...

Oh my!

Have a great afternoon!

Ewwwwwww that model train guy is scary - ick! I'm still hesitant about buying anything on CraigsList. It's funny because I'll use it to post help wanted ads but anything else on there, I'm clueless too.

Blame it on the model train guy - lol!

I think that is a great deal! It will be wonderful after a makeover. I have no idea what those Craigslist peeps were thinking, but from what I can tell, that is a good retoucher! Although that seems pretty shady. Imagine if a wedding photographer had someone retouch all the photos of the bride or something! Like, where did those D cups come from!? Ha

Love the couch! My friend was going to give me the CUTEST pink velvet Victorian. It was so flippin' cute and my husband said no. Now normally I wouldn't stand for such nonsense but we really didn't have any place to put it. So my friend sold it to a very needy woman for $50.00. I felt better after that. As for the rest of those pics...Ummmm...I'm speechless!

hahaha that picture with the bike wheels made me laugh so hard!

I have to say how insanely jealous I am of you (and other craigslist-lucky folks). All I've managed to find is gross, gross, gross!

Think it is perfect - new fabric will make a huge difference and the price was good.

As for the ads....hmmmm. Some people have no shame.

Or brains.

HAHAHA! One of my favorite parts of Craigslist are the crazy ones!! ;) I think you got a great deal!

I think the settee will look so cute painted and with new fabric! So I'm hoping it's not worth much so you can have fun with it and we can see the makeovers (is that selfish?!) It would look so awesome on a patio.

That train guy makes me feel like I need to shower! GROSS! What is wrong with people?!

I think you got a deal Kendall, and a much better deal than the rest of those hilarious CL offerings! I'm really hoping that the train guy ad was someone else's idea of a bad practical joke, but you just never know! And maybe I should consider contacting the Photo Shop guy, I could stand to lose a few pounds and what easier way than through Photo Shop?!!

Is the lady is letting that settee go for $65 I'd seriously wonder at it actually being a 'worth-something antique'. But who knows, maybe she just wants it out of her house! I think it's a good deal for a patio settee!

And ick... sometimes Craigslist is scary!

Miss Kendall..Think you did GREAT in your negotiations for the settee! Can't wait to see the final results of your new patio.

I love your find - whether or not it is antique, I think it is a good deal - I would have paid it. Cannot wait to see the finished project.

I am laughing and cringing at the train dude but I may have to start paying that other person to photo shop my photos.

That settee is way cool and such a good deal I think you could totally paint it. Can't wait to see how that turns out.

Craigslist freaks me smooth out. And that train dude is why. He made me throw up a little bit in my mouth. I feel dirty having read it. I need to go take a shower. *blek* And I don't even know what to say about the crab meat part of that...WTH????

I think the couch is great!

I had to laugh at the imitation crab comment on the train guy (and the rest of it, he's scary!).

Oh yuck. That man! Gross!

How do you search CL? I get on there and there is just so much stuff that I get overwhelmed. Do you put something in the search box or do you search all furniture?

Hi first visit here. Those ads are too funny. Now that I think of it, I might want to hook up with that Photoshop guy and have him take a decade off my profile pic.
