Patio update - look what I just scored on Craig's List!

I'm so pumped!  I was just browsing Craig's List for outdoor furniture for cheap and look what I bought!

Bamboo dining set for $45.  Okay, she's ugly in her current state but with a little paint, won't this be cool?
I'll have to get a piece of glass cut for the top and some fun cushions for the chairs.

I need everyone's opinions on paint.

I'm going for a zen/buddha/indian feel on the patio.  The colors will be turquoise and burnt orange with hammered bronze accents.  Should I paint this set:

WHITE?
TURQUOISE?
BURNT ORANGE?

Keep in mind, the patio floor is stained pretty dark.

Let me know what you think!

I'm sitting here with my mouth open. And gasped when I saw what you got! Nice score!

My first thought before your initial question was - I would totally paint that turquoise.

It is going to be so fantastic!
I'm only slightly jealous....

What a unique find. Don't you just love Craigs List. I would pick out the cushions or fabric first but turquoise sounds divine.
Can' wait to see the after photos.

Great find! I've been scouring CL as well for patio furniture....looking for vintage wrought iron pieces-the kind with springy chairs. Having fun tarting it up!

I think I reload craigslist at least once every 15 minutes to see what's for sale! I say white if you find some really cute colorful cushions, or turquoise for big wow!

What a great find! I'm also on a mission to find some good and cheap patio furniture. I can totally picture them in turquoise but white would be a great option as well. Can't wait to see what you do!

OMGosh...this set is way COOL! I think I would go bright white with some FUN turquoise and burnt orange cushions! My second pick is turquoise.

Blessings,
Linda

What a great find! Good for you! I say paint the set white and then you can load the patio up with splashes of turquoise and burnt orange. The bright colors will look great against the white and the dark floor. Have fun and I can't wait to see the outcome!

Great find! wow....I agree that you should find cushions first. Maybe a off white or beigh color. Just really depends on the fabric but it will be stunning i'm sure.

Maybe I'm a stick-in-the-mud, I'd do it a rich brown (like the deck) and let the accessories carry the fun colors (chair pads, umbrella, placemats...)

Go Turqoise with white and orange accents.

Ohhh, you definitely did good with this one. I can't wait to see the finished product; you could go so many directions with it. Have fun!

What a steal - absolutely go with turquoise. It would make such a fun statement against that dark floor with some fun accent pillows!

I'm so jealous! What a great buy! I vote turquoise. It's going to look so amazing. I can't wait to see it finished.

What a great find! I normally say go "neutral" and do white because I always change my mind with accessories but with the bamboo, I'd go with turquoise for sure! I can't wait to see the end result. Good luck!

Before I even got to your color choices I was thinking "These would be so great in high gloss orange or turquoise!"

I'm torn between the two, I'm with Traci - let the fabric guide you. :)

what a great score! I'm so jealous of you Craigslist-lucky folks. I still haven't managed to find a treasure!

I think it would look AMAZING painted turqoise, but I second the idea to find your fabric first. It can be so hard to match the paint afterwards!

Girl, if anyone can make that set drop dead gorgeous, it's you!

I can't wait to see it painted a bright happy color, maybe yellow.

I think you should paint it hammered bronze color and bring all those wonderful colors in with chair cushions and accent pillows.
You could even cluster together a a few large ceramic pots together in those oranges, turquoise etc.

I think turquoise would be ab fab! White would be equally killer with great fabric. So I've seen an umbrella at Home Depot that has the same fabric pattern I used to reupholster my Goodwill chairs, but it's in brown. If you decide to incorporate an umbrella, you might want to check it out! It'd be really cute for your space!

TURQUOISE!!! Love the color but would look AWESOME with the dark floors. Accent it with white and orange or white and red pillows. Super cute. Can't wait to see what you decide.

And because I just bought a cute turquoise and dark brown pot from Home Goods in KATY, HA!! : )

That is an amazing "steal"!! Turqouise always makes me think that would work for a zen feel. But, I think you can incorporate all of those colors into what you are looking to accomplish.

Love your newest find! It's awesome and I have to admit, I'm jealous!

When we first bought our house, we found a big box of Buddhist objects and decorations (tons of bronze buddhas and other buddhist objects). I have to tell you that one of the MAIN colors in the box besides bronze was burnt orange, so that's what I would do if I were going with that theme.

I'm sure whatever you decide, it will look fabulous! Can't wait to see!

Ah, I'm such a white fan..., so white I suggest..., then turquoise/orange cushions!

Nice find! I vote for turquoise...I always love a shot of color...and its only paint, right?

My choice is turquoise! Since the porch is a warmer tone, I think the turquoise would add a nice contrast.

turquoise, favorite choice of color!! Craig's List is soooo much fun.

What a great score! I'd definitely fabric shop first, but my vote would be to paint the table burnt orange and the chairs white.

I lurve turquoise, but with your deck I think the orange would flow better.

What a find! Lucky girl. I would paint it black, then you can add turqoise and orange accents with cushions and pillows. Black is classic and would go with your deck. BUT if you want one of the three colours you listed then I would go with turquoise. I think it would go great with the deck also!

Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Very nice steal!

Burnt orange is my pick:)

I think white will be more classic and lasting - it'll pop against the dark floor and bring out the light specks in your bring and white around your door. You could then add pops of orange and turquoise (I love that combo) in cushions and pillows, etc.

Good find! :)
