Trash Pickin' Thursday!

So I was on my way home this morning from my morning trash pick feeling defeated because I had found NOTHING.  Then, as I rounded the corner into my neighborhood I saw it.....the mecca of all trash piles!

Obviously these people are moving and because we can't have garage sales in our neighborhood, they just put all their unwanted stuff on the curb.

I hit the jackpot!  Look at the treasures I scored for FREE!

Beautiful lampshades.  They look to be custom! I love the striped ones.  They are really tall, fun!

Mercury glass vase!

Some sparkly Christmas garland

And the best find?

This empty frame!  It probably held a mirror that broke.  It's approx 5 ft tall x 3 ft wide and the wood is very thick.

I can't wait to create something with this!

So what did you find in the trash this week?  Or, what did you create with something you've found?

Link up and inspire me!

Oh no, I'm seriously just LUCKY! I swear the people in my neighborhood throw away the BEST STUFF! I'm thinking they totally don't know how to think outside the box, like us crafty people!

I've decided I live in the wrong place. I never see good stuff on the curb and the area Goodwill stores only have junk. I can't believe someone got rid of a mercury glass vase...you got lucky this week!

Wow! You did score big! It's amazing what people throw away! Thanks for answering my question. I think I need to expand my territory and venture into different neighborhoods.

Wow, you found some great stuff. I'm loving the mercury glass vase. It has such great texture. I only have dumpsters where I live so it's a bit more of a challenge.

NO WAY! At first I was like "Oh nice shades" but that vase IS GORGEOUS! and that "Christmas" garland is still apt here where snow just keeps on coming!

Great week :D
