Pottery Barn on a budget - Part 2

Before I begin, I would like to say "BEAR WITH ME" as I play around with new blog headers and layouts.  I just can't seem to get one I like yet, so I may look different when you visit (which may keep things interesting anyway!)

Also, I have a new "cuter" blog button, so if you've grabbed my old one, please get the new one over on the left!  I am real happy with how this turned out, so it won't be changing anytime soon, promise!

This is part 2 of my discussion on Pottery Barn.

Part of PB's great style are their accessories.  I love looking and then knocking them off.  Yes, I say it, with no shame!

Here are some great things I found that could be made relatively easily.  If I could find another creative blogger that made it, I've attached a link to the tutorial.  If you know of a tutorial that I didn't include, please share!

PB Ceramic Platter Chalkboard Set of 2 $99

Check out Tuesdays with Molly for a tutorial!

PB Typewriter Key Wall Hanging on sale for $299.99

Go to Susie Harris for the tutorial!

PB Number Throw Pillow Covers (Pillows NOT included) Set of 4 $99

PB Burlap Lumbar Pillow $49
(Would love to see someone make this and show me how!)

PB Calligraphy Drum Lamp Shades $39-$59
(Think I might have to tackle this one! It's just too cute!)

PB Eagen Multi-Panel Mirror $699 (*gulp*)
Starter Home to Dream Home  made a similar version for $60!

PB Typeface Bath Accessories $10-$25

PB Nest Door Mat $29
(I so need to try to paint this!  Of course, mine would say "Finesse Your Nest"!)

PB Wakefield Chandelier "sale" $249

PB Distressed White Pillar Holders $24 & $34

And as I was typing this post I found another PB inspiration!

Here's the original from Pottery Barn...

And here's the very cool knock-off!

Go check out Kirsty at Blah, Blah, Blah to see how she did it!

Kirsty also let me know about another great project she found.  Check out The 7 Daggetts and her $30 Hyde table knock-off!

Again, here's the original, the Hyde Coffee Table...

And here's the one she BUILT!

Wow!!!

Are you skilled in carpentry?  Check out Knock off Wood, a wonderful blog dedicated to PB Furniture and how to build your own for cheap!  She includes building plans too!  How cool!

Hey Kendall you can get linen fabric different varieties and take it to Kinko's or a print shop that will copy on fabric...I did this with a picture of my kids and only used one seam on the fabic rectanlge pillow. I also added bullion fringe on the short ends, however, the simple style of nubby linen or burlap would not beckon for fringe. I have no pictures I gave it to MIL for Christmas 3-4 yrs. ago.

Hey Mindy! Long time no chat! I've missed you. How were your holidays? Thanks for the idea! I'm gonna have to venture into the world of Kinko's decorating. It sounds like fun! You need to get a blog, dear. You would totally put me to shame!

It's called Zygor Leveling and it teaches World of Warcraft players how to level up to max level in 6 days. If you want you can check it out! Thanks again!

Wow, cool!! Thanks so much for featuring my table on your blog! We have had our table for 6 months now, and I still love it! It is so much fun to make PB knockoffs for so much less.
Hope you have a great week! Beth. :)
